The Prayer of Daniel ( edited for modern use by redeemed man )

The prayer of Daniel; the man of God
( edited for modern use )

O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments; we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your Word and Your Way.

Neither have we heeded Your servants who have spoken in Your name to our leaders and to us.

O Lord; righteousness belongs to You; but to this day, we are ashamed of our wickedness.

O Lord; to us belongs shame of face; to us and to our leaders, because we have sinned against You!

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness ( praise Him!) ; although we have rebelled against Him, and are undeserving of that mercy and forgiveness.

We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God; to walk in His ways, after His Law, which He set before us by His Servant!

Yes; we have all sinned against Your Law; therefore the natural consequences of our sins have found us out, resulting in the trials and tribulations that we now experience.

And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and our leaders by bringing upon us these trials and tribulations; but even our current deserved troubles are nothing to be compared with the troubles that faced His Church of old ( Praise God! ) !

As it is written in Your Word; all these troubles have come upon us yet have we not laid our prayers before You, that we might turn from our iniquities and better understand Your Truth!

Therefore the Lord has kept the troubles in mind, and brought them upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all that He does, even though we have not fully obeyed His Word!

And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of Egypt, and redeemed us through Your Son, Jesus Christ, for Your name's sake; we have sinned, we have done wickedly!

O Lord; according to all Your righteousness in Jesus Christ; let Your anger and fury be turned away from Your Church, from Your holy People, because for our sins and iniquities, Your Church has become a reproach to all those around us!

Now therefore, O Lord our God; hear the prayer of Your servant(s), and our supplications, and for Your own name's sake, cause Your face to shine upon your people, who have been troubled.

O our God; incline Your ear and hear, open Your eyes and see the troubles of this People which is called by Your name; for we do no present our prayers before You because of our own righteousness, but because of Your great Mercy!

O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive!O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for the sake of Your Church, and Your People who are called by Your Name! Amen!

'How Great Thou Art' a preteristic revision ( 4th verse )

O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

Since Christ has come, with shout of acclamation,
And taken me home, such joy has filled my heart.
And so I bow, in humble adoration,
And now proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Now my soul sings, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Now my soul sings, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
